		<description>The same thing happened to me.  Made it to Mexico just fine.  Couldn't leave with my knitting needles.  I was so frustrated I almost broke down and cried.</description>

lately when I travel with knitting I take it out of my carry on and put it in the plastic bin, just like a computer.  

the only time I've been hassled about my needles was on a plane, in the air, when a stewardess gave me flack.  security didn't seem to have a problem with it.  that was overseas. so the TSA announcement may annoyed them more then influenced them....</description>
